Chai Lifeline

Chai Lifeline’s social, emotional and financial assistance enables each member to weather the crises and daily challenges of serious pediatric illness. In cases of untimely death and tragedy, Project CHAI, its bereavement arm, offers children, families and communities immediate assistance and reassurance. Project CHAI professionals and trained community-based first responders help those in the midst of crisis,  providing emotional, cognitive, behavioral and spiritual guidance and offering creative ideas and activities to foster healing and nechama.

Immediate assistance in times of personal or communal crisis when children are impacted; bereavement counseling; crisis intervention services (workshops, educator training); bereavement retreats; after-school programs for children living with loss in their immediate families; limited financial assistance; first responder training for communities.
